 Bid for Fire Truck is Accepted by Village (East Aurora Advertiser)
The East Aurora Fire Dept. will soon be getting a new heavy rescue vehicle. At its Sept. 15 meeting, the East Aurora Village Board voted unanimously to accept a $543,265 bid from Pierce Manufacturing for the vehicle. Several fire department volunteers were in attendance at the meeting, but did not speak about the new truck.
 $49.6 Million Iroquois Proposal Goes to Vote on Oct. 14 (East Aurora Advertiser)
Voters on Tues., Oct. 14 will decide on a $49.6 million capital facilities project proposed for the Iroquois school district. If approved, the project will include additions to four of the district's six school buildings, renovations in every school building and work at the district's bus garage. Work would begin in spring 2010 and continue until late 2012.
