Daniel Hammett features the Pickwick Hotel (built in 1926) in the classic mystery novel "The Maltese Falcon". The hotel was constructed in the Neo Gothic style. The renovated rooms have French provincial decor in warm gold, red and cream tones with elegant drapes. Each room includes a desk, armoire, and overstuffed chair and ottoman. Some of the hotel's rooms feature a downtown city view, and all guest rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed.
