RESEDA -- The woman accused of hoarding dozens of animals in the Tehachapi area has been taken into custody again after going missing for two months. Anita Gilbert skipped town in August and missed a court date.

A woman accused of animal abuse, known in Kern County as Anita Gilbert, has been captured in Reseda. Bail bondsman Bob Herman, of Lancaster, tracked the fugitive down in Reseda on Thursday afternoon at the home of a friend. He was watching the woman's home from a block away when Gilbert drove up in a black BMW and got out.

The woman known here as Anita Gilbert, an accused animal hoarder on the run since August, will be brought back to Kern County next week to face trial. Gilbert, whose real name is not known, was finally captured this week.
